There’s no discrediting Fox’s cash cow, American Idol. It’s been a household show since 2002 and stocks the network with cash each new year. However, it’s twelfth season–helmed by what seems to be a choreographed Nicki Minaj and Mariah Carey diva brawl–kicked off with stale ratings in comparison to their past success. Still no one can deny the springboard it’s been to successful alumnae including Oscar winner, Jennifer Hudson.
That’s not stopping J-Hud from believing her alma mater might need to walk the plank after this season. During a recent interview, the season three star said American Idol “should allow itself to go out on top… and gracefully. Everything has its time. American Idol has changed the face of television. So, not everyone can say that.”
Guess Jenn’s not concerned about a future judge check.
