Celebrity Wire: Rick Ross & Shaheem Reid Explain Cancelled Tour Dates + Rozay Says He Choked Young Jeezy

The explanation Hip Hop’s been waiting for has finally arrived. After reports that Rick Ross cancelled the last leg of his MMG tour due to gang threats in North Carolina, the big bawse is asserting that the reason he pulled out the last few show dates has nothing to do with pseudo-menacing YouTube warnings and everything to do with careless promoters. Listen to a clip of Ricky detailing it himself, as well as commentary from respected music journalist, Shaheem Reid who was on-sight for the entire tour.

Rick Ross also exercised his right to transparency by sharing information behind the infamous quarrel that was said to have happened between him and Young Jeezy backstage during the BET Hip Hop Awards. “This is nothing personal to me. At the BET Awards it basically just boiled down to me running across Young Jeezy, he had five security guards in front of him, five police officers behind him and we crossed paths I said ‘what’s up?’ soon as he said ‘what’s up?’ I tried to choke him. His security guards hemmed me up; whoever the big black dude with the bumps on his face, he should give that dude something special for Christmas.”

Ross also explained what might happen if he were to see Jeezy again: “I’m a hands on type dude. I’m better with my hands than I am at making music. So it’s not personal but if I see Young Jeezy again will I try to choke him? I don’t know that’s an option.”

Well then. Glad you cleared all that up for us Rick!
