Last night Sway hosted the #RestoreTheShore fundraiser with MTV to rebuild Seaside Heights, New Jersey – the heart of the Jersey Shore, which was devastated by Hurricane Sandy. Today MTV announced that over 1 MILLION from approximately 25,000 donors were raised! That’s enough to help refurbish and restore Seaside’s electrical grid, and to begin rebuilding the town’s iconic boardwalk. New donations continue to come in every minute, and all funds raised are in addition to Viacom’s previously announced $1,000,000 Viacommunity pledge to Hurricane Sandy relief efforts across the region. As part of an ongoing campaign designed to help “Restore the Shore,” help Seaside Heights get back on its feet, and support those impacted by Hurricane Sandy.
